  • Registered SAL: Maximum Compensation is  up to 6,000 yen
  • Registered AIRMAIL: Maximum Compensation is  up to 6,000 yen
  • EMS: Maximum Compensation is  up to 20,000 yen

Here is the procedure you and we need to go through: 

  1. We highly suggest you to keep all the shipping box and packing materials, and damaged items with its original box, as well as the tracking information to meet their requirements. 
  2. Please send your damage report to your local post office first with their necessary documents and evidences. 
  3. Japan Post starts tracking the route of your package delivery and investigate what happened to your package. Later they will contact your local post office to make sure your damage report is presented at their hands.
  4. When they complete the investigation and confirm the damage you had, they will send the compensation to our bank account first.
  5. As soon as we confirm the fund, we will contact you again and transfer it to your through Paypal. Please be aware that this process might take a couple of months to be concluded, so we ask you for your patience. 

I hope this process make sense to you and we suggest you to contact your local post office for the damage report as soon as possible

We contacted our Stripe customer service, the one help individuals and businesses to accept payments over the Internet, and they told us that these declines happen with many reasons but they highly recommend you to contact your bank issued your credit cards first. In some cases, your credit card company or bank do not allowed you to use the particular card for oversea purchases and they block it. You may want to contact them to allow your credit card to be used for international online shopping. Of course your banks and credit card issuers do care about these issues and trying to protect you from frauds over the net, but in some cases they overdo according to the same customer service. 

If you met similar challenges like above unfortunately, you may want to try using another credit cards first and contact and report your bank or credit card issuers later to ask them to help you.

Now we can take credit cards at our store. But wait! We have been taking credit cards for years since we started our business when Magiranger was airing here in Japan (was it 2005?) . So what is so special about this? 

Yes, we have been able to process your credit cards but only through Paypal. But there was always a same issue bothered our customers (specially new customers to use us...) wether they should have a paypal account or not. Our customers do not have to have a paypal account and they can still use their credit cards at our site with Paypal's "External Gateway" service. Nice, right? But not so...

It is always nice to have another option to use any services I believe, however, it has been a kind of showdown for our new and first customers who is not really familiar with "Paypal" services at all. No wonder our new customers get puzzled when it comes to their checkout pages and see "Paypal" logo and some cases they just gave up our services :( 

Thanks to Stripe.com, now we can simply accept your credit cards (Visa, Master, Amex and Debit cards) without worrying about wether you should use Paypal or not. Of course you we continue to use Paypal Payments but as I said, it is always nice to have a backup plan :)

      Since we newly moved to this our store on Shopify, the migration to this new site and platform is slightly making our customers confused or misguided time to time. 

      One of the most popular questions we receive now is when our customer checkout and taken to Japanese Paypal Checkout Page!! 

      To avoid this happening to you, you can simply change the currency switcher on the top right corner and it says "Pick a currency". Since our new store can offer multiple choice of currencies including JPY, INR*, GBP, CAD, EUR, AUD and EUR, try switching them to your local currency and it should solve the issue.  

      If not, and still taken to the Paypal checkout page in Japanese, see the top right corner on the page if you can see a language switcher there. It might first show “日本語 (Japanese)” but there should be a pulldown menu for English page. You can choose English and you should be able to take care the rest of the process.
